Fitzroy Garbage Destructor

The garbage destructor was built in 1893 for the Fitzroy Council in Miller Street between King Street & Queen Street.It was controversial, and after a short trial the Council notified the contractor to remove it within 3 months. The 180 feet chimney was eventually removed in 1937.
