Nairana

Former local resident David Castles remembers the strange method used to move the Nairana shipwreck. You can see in this image of the Nairana it is decorated with ‘Dazzle’ camouflaging. This image was taken in 1917, when the ship was being used as a Seaplane carrier during the WWI.
