This walk explores the landscape between the railway line and the Yarra River. Early industries located here because of the proximity to the River wharves. Fishermans Bend became a major centre for manufacturing in the thirties. It was rezoned for residential development in 2012. The theme of this walk is the ongoing transformation of Fishermans Bend - from sandy, swampy open land, to industry to more recent industries such as data centres. It concludes with a question about how the future might unfold for Fishermans Bend.
